THE GRAPES: Sweet Riverbend Red is a winemakers blend of two locally grown RED hybrid grapes the Chancellor and Chambourcin grapes. Both of these grapes have unique characteristics that they add to the finished wine.
THE WINE: Sweet Riverbend Red: The name of this wine pays homage to the location of the original First Vineyard, established in 1799 in the “Devil’s Elbow” area of the Kentucky River in southeastern Jessamine County, Kentucky. This wine is similar in flavor to a soft sweet style red wine with big bold berry flavors like raspberries, blackberries and strawberries!
THE PAIRING: As a Chef one of my favorite things to do with this wine is to incorporate it into marinades, sauces and anything that has a spicy berry base to it.
